Tata Altroz was showcased at the Geneva Auto Show this year and the production-spec model looks identical to the show model. The Tata Altroz is based on ALFA structure and carries Impact 2.0 Design Philosophy, that said, the launch for the same is expected later this month.
Tata Altroz launch will see its competition with the likes of Toyota Glanza, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20, Volkswagen Polo and Honda Jazz. The spy shots have three camouflaged Altroz, two with red colour shade and the last sporting a gold shade, the one seen at the Geneva Motor Show 2019.
The front fascia of the Tata Altroz sees a wider grille up front along with dual-barrel automatic headlamps which give better illumination. The door handles will be integrated into the C-pillar and will be blacked out to give a sporty look. Coming to the rear profile, it gets a unique two-part boot lid. The car sits on single tone 16-inch alloy wheels.

Tata Altroz is likely to come in three engine options, two petrol and one diesel engine. It is reported that the premium hatchback will first be launched in a diesel engine which is the same as one in Nexon. However, the power figures will be detuned and it will make 90 bhp. Torque figures will also be lower. Transmission on board will include a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The 1.2-litre petrol engine will be the same as seen in Tiago with power up to 84bhp with 114Nm of peak torque. A new 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine is expected which will generate 102bhp with 142Nm of torque. It could get a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission but there is no confirmed news from the manufacturer.
