Bajaj Motors still, is one of the leading motorcycle brands in India. With its Pulsar and Discovery range, it rules over the Indian bike market. The latest entrant Dominar 400, is also a good buy. Most of the Bajaj bikes can be seen performing stunts in their ads and brochures. Here we have the 2018 Bajaj Pulsar 220F, which has a perfect body for quality riding and stunts. It gets a powerful 220cc engine which is quite frugal and produces 21 BHP worth of horsepower. A typical Bajaj drawback is the lack of certain features. Its competitors in the 200cc bikes segment offer better features than 220F. It misses out on the crucial ABS. It gets LED tail lights, Always On-Headlamps, Auto-Cancelling indicators and some more features. The Pulsar 220F is priced comparatively cheaper at Rs 94,682 (ex-showroom). The new model Pulsar 220F sports minor visual upgrades including a new colour. It also gets a revised instrument console to enhance the novelty value. Powering the 2018 Bajaj Pulsar 220 is the same 220cc, single-cylinder engine. This motor produces a max. power of 21.05 PS and a peak torque of 19.12Nm. Fuel mileage is in range of 35 KMPL.
As we said, there isn’t a big change in the price. The old model of the Pulsar 220 cost Rs 91,201. The new Bajaj Pulsar 220F costs Rs. 94,682 (ex-showroom Delhi).
It may be noted Bajaj has always priced its bikes very competitively. Same has been the case with the entire Pulsar range. The 2018 model Bajaj Pulsar 220F continues this trend.

There aren’t major changes in the specifications. However, the Pulsar 220F is BSIV compliant. The P220’s 220cc motor pumps out a max. power of 21.05 PS and a peak torque of 19.12 Nm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. In the front, it gets telescopic forks suspension and Twin shock absorbers in the rear.

Thanks to the remap, the Pulsar 220F could deliver a slightly higher mileage. Safely expect 35 KMPL in regular usage. Bajaj has not revealed the exact mileage.
The Bajaj Pulsar 220F has a true top speed of roughly 131 KMPH. However, the speedo-indicated top speed is easily above 140 KMPH. Still, a true top speed of 131 KMPH is pretty respectable for a bike in this price segment.

The bike measures 2035 mm in length, 750 mm in width and 1165 mm in height. It gets a wheelbase of 1350 mm with a ground clearance of 165 mm. It weighs around 150 Kgs.

Pulsar 220F is a pure sports bike. However, it faces competition because of its price range, because a lot of 200 CC bikes are naked bikes. Overall, it competes with KTM RC and Duke 200, TVS Apache RTR 2004V, Honda CBR 250R and Suzuki Gixxer SF. However, if the buyer is focused on sports bike looks, and not the naked looks, he has to choose between Pulsar, CBR and Gixxer SF.
